PURPOSE OF THE MODEL
The People-Centered model helps plan or evaluate behavioral impacts of organizational change. It provides a method for considering key aspects of change psychology that reduce the friction of a change initiative.

There are three progressive Steps for considering behavioral aspect of change. Each step has three Aspects for a total of nine in the model.

While the steps and aspects can be considered in any order at any time, we have found it useful to move from the top down (Align > Activate > Adapt) when planning and designing a change. Then sense and respond from the bottom up (Adapt, Activate, Align) while the change is in progress.
